In the morning, you’ll discuss drawings and strategy with colleagues, and after lunch, you’ll head out to assist one of your own clients who needs your expertise.

Your role as Junior Project Leader Electrical Engineering at Summit Renewable Projects
At Summit Renewable Projects, you’re not a spectator — you’re a builder of sustainable projects. As a junior engineer and project leader, you’ll have the opportunity to tackle technical challenges and come up with smart solutions that truly help our clients. That could mean developing a complete plan, coordinating with suppliers, or finding ways to make an installation more efficient.
You’ll learn how to turn ideas into technical reality and discover how to manage projects from A to Z. Along the way, you’ll grow in technical knowledge, project oversight, creative thinking, and communication with both clients and colleagues. We reward initiative and proactive thinking — your ideas are given space to grow!
Why Summit Renewable Projects?
We’re a small, close-knit team with a wide network. We think big, but keep our approach practical. Short lines of communication, personal contact, and solutions that truly work are at the heart of what we do.
Summit was founded by three experienced engineers who shared the belief that the energy transition could be done differently. By joining forces and collaborating with HighTeq Engineering / Summit Engineering, we created a company focused not on bureaucracy, but on real solutions and impact. That blend of experience, teamwork, and practical thinking still defines how we work today.
What makes working with us unique? As a junior engineer, your contribution is visible from day one. You’ll immediately see how your work impacts projects, clients, and the team. We celebrate successes together and constantly explore new ways to work smarter and more sustainably with energy.
We’ll be excited if you:
- Have at least a bachelor’s level of thinking (HBO or equivalent).
- Have an affinity with electrical engineering and sustainability.
- Are a proactive team player who enjoys taking responsibility.
- Thrive on variety and feel at home in a dynamic environment.
- Can quickly switch between technical challenges and creative solutions.
- Take initiative and spot opportunities where others see obstacles.
What matters more than a perfect résumé? Your motivation, sense of responsibility, and engagement. You don’t have to know everything yet — at Summit, you’ll have the space to learn and grow!
What you can expect:
- Diverse workdays — from client meetings to technical design.
- A wide variety of projects, from short-term assignments to long-term partnerships.
- Hands-on involvement: observe, learn, and soon take the lead yourself.
- Plenty of room for growth, with a training budget and courses to keep improving yourself.
- A real team spirit — we celebrate successes together and your ideas truly count.
Employment conditions:
- 32 to 40 hours per week, with a one-year contract and the prospect of a permanent position.
- A gross monthly salary between €3,000 and €3,800, depending on experience.
- 25 vacation days, pension plan, and personal care budget.
- All the tools you need to do your job well — laptop, phone, and workwear included.
- A workplace at our office in Groningen.
